In SYNCHROMODE, DEUSTO participates through DeustoTech, a multidisciplinary institute of more than 50 researchers and technicians, part of the Faculty of Engineering. The research at DeustoTech is focused on artificial intelligence, ubiquitous computing and computation systems, applied to Energy & Environment, Mobility & Transport, Societal Challenges and Industry.
Their researchers are experts in artificial intelligence, particularly in optimization techniques (e.g. metaheuristics) and machine learning (e.g. deep learning, fuzzy systems), which are applied to a wide variety of areas in transportation for passenger and freight.
